Dictation

Hold Ctrl+Space, speak, release. Transcribed text pastes at your cursor — any app, any text field. A floating pill indicator shows you exactly what's happening.

Snippet Library

Say a trigger word to paste any phrase instantly. "my address" → your full address. "sig" → your email signature. Add as many as you like.

Personal Dictionary

Whisper mishears names, brands, and technical terms. Add corrections once — "pra car" → "Prakhar", "wisp" → "freewispr" — and they're fixed forever.

Auto-punctuation

Whisper output is automatically capitalized and given a period if missing — no more raw run-on sentences. Toggle it off any time from Settings.

Fully Local

Whisper AI runs on your CPU with INT8 quantization. No account, no API key, no data leaving your PC. Optional filler word removal for cleaner output.

Any App, Any Field

Works in every text field on Windows — browser, Word, Notepad, VS Code, Slack, anywhere. If you can type there, you can dictate there.

Download the .exe

One file, no installer. Just download and run — freewispr needs no system-level setup.

Run it

Double-click freewispr.exe. On first launch it downloads the ~150 MB Whisper AI model once, then sits quietly in your system tray.

Hold Ctrl+Space to speak

Hold the hotkey, say what you want to type, release. Done. Change the hotkey any time from tray settings.
